Player Development Framework

WSSA coaching staff possess USSF or NSCAA certifications and are committed to teaching leadership, confidence, and hard work. Our player development frameworks are built on the foundational principles provided by US Soccer.

Our Coaching Philosophy

West Sound Soccer Academy coaches are committed to holistic player development (psychosocial, physical, technical, and tactical).

WSSA coaches create a training environment that is safe and inclusive, where players are encouraged to take risks and express their creativity. Training and instruction is reality-based and experiential, and players are provided with opportunities to make choices and express autonomy within the training environment.

Beyond soccer development, players emerge from our Academy with a love for the game and a strong personal foundation based on our core values: grit, integrity, and commitment. Our goal is to develop players who are prepared for life: confident lifelong learners who know what it means to be a team player.
